Welcome new Carver families!

Welcome to K. L. Carver School! I am sure you are just as excited as I am about starting the 2020-21 school year! The first day of school for our students is Wednesday, 8/12/2020, which will start over distance learning.

 

I know there are many unanswered questions about how distance learning would look like this fall. Although there are still details to be worked out, it is important that you know where to access updates and announcements from our school. In the days ahead, I will be communicating information about how to access class lists and teacher assignments as well as how to safely pick up curricular materials.

One of the more important dates for our new families is Friday, 8/14/2020. The Carver PTA and I are looking forward to meeting you at the New Family Orientation on Friday, 8/14/2020 from 4:00-5:00 PM. Please click here to register. 

 

Unlike previous years, when we also had an Ice Cream Social before the start of school, I will not be able to conduct a tour of our campus and show you the labs and programs. This year, I will be on Zoom to host a Q&A and assist our new families to build connections with each other. We are here to serve as the catalyst for our new families to join the school's strong network and support structure of Carver families. 

 

No worries if you are not able to attend the New Family Orientation on 8/14th. We plan to have frequent communications with you throughout the year. 

 

In the meantime, please enjoy the last few days of summer break. I look forward to seeing you at the New Family Orientation on Friday, 8/14/2020.
